Private Skilled Nursing

Many of our clients are patients of all ages needing skilled nursing care in their place of residence. They may be individuals needing recuperative care following surgery or illness, family members with special needs, or loved ones needing continuing medical care.

Help at Home provides Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses who are carefully trained and experienced in many areas such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, arthritis, hospice care, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, as well as other mental and physical challenges. These skilled nurses can also provide rest periods for family members who are caring for a parent or relative who is ill. We work closely with and in accordance to your physician to develop an individualized plan of care that will meet your needs, whether for yourself or for a loved one.

Services offered by Registered Nurses may include, but are not limited to:

  • Skilled nursing care, assessments, case management of all LPNs, Home Health Aides, Homemakers/Companions/Sitters
  • Initiation and follow through with client’s plan of care, per physician’s order
  • IV therapy
  • Venipuncture administration of IV fluids, injections
  • Teaching related to specific medical issues and/or challenges
  • Medication administration and treatments
  • Assisting the client/patient in learning self-care techniques
  • Private duty hospital care
  • Post operative surgical care
  • Ostomy care
  • Diabetic care and teaching
  • Stroke care
  • Pulmonary care
  • Wound care
  • Cancer care
  • Alzheimers/Dementia care
  • Pain management
  • Catheter care
  • Respite care for the family or primary caregiver
  • Counseling for the patient and his/her family in meeting nursing and related needs
  • Psychiatric nursing care

Services offered by Licensed Practical Nurses may include, but are not limited to:

  • Follow through with client’s plan of care, per physician’s order
  • Teaching related to specific medical issues and/or challenges
  • Medication administration including oral, sub-q, IM injections and treatments
  • Assisting the client/patient in learning self-care techniques
  • Private duty hospital care
  • Medication administration and treatments
  • Assisting the client/patient in learning self-care techniques

  • Post operative surgical care
  • Ostomy care
